QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Frontman Breaks The Mold With THE EAGLES OF DEATH METAL

May 8, 2003

THE EAGLES OF DEATH METAL, the new band featuring QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Josh Homme and Jesse "The Devil" Hughes, have posted a full-length MP3 of the track "I Only Want You" at this location. "I Only Want You" comes off the group's upcoming album, "Peace, Love, and Death Metal", due in September through Homme's Rekords Rekords label imprint.

Josh recently described THE EAGLES OF DEATH METAL's music as "stripper drum-beats, bluegrass slide guitar, bass, death metal and CANNED HEAT vocals as well. The primary source of THE EAGLES is a guy named Jesse 'The Devil' Hughes. He's a member of the National Rifle Association who tries to spread the word of the Devil everywhere, loves porno and crystal meth."
