QUEEN's 'Stone Cold Classics' Hits Stores In Front of 'American Idol' Performances

The mighty legacy of rock band QUEEN is brought back to the fore for a fresh hearing in "Stone Cold Classics", a new CD collection of 12 of the band's biggest hits and timeless rock classics, with the additional bonus of two new live tracks performed by QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS, recorded during their first tour together.

Released on April 11, "Stone Cold Classics" showcases original versions of a selection of the songs being performed by the eight finalists of the U.S.'s No. 1 rated entertainment television show "American Idol" during a special QUEEN edition of the show which airs April 11 and 12 on Fox.

In addition, the album will include further of the band's biggest hits, including "Another One Bites The Dust", which reached No.1 on the U.S. chart, the perennial arena anthem "We Are The Champions", plus five other of the band's best-known songs.

QUEEN's appearance with the finalists on "American Idol" was recorded during the band's current coast-to-coast American tour with singer Paul Rodgers. The QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS tour has been drawing rave reviews across the country. The 23-city tour winds up this week with a final date at at Vancouver Pacific Coliseum, Thursday (13).
