PURIFIED IN BLOOD: New Album Title, Track Listing Revealed

Norwegian metallers PURIFIED IN BLOOD have set "Under Black Skies" as the title of their sophomore full-length album, tentatively due this spring. The CD was mixed in Seattle, Washington with Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS, BOTCH).

The intro and the outro on the album were created by the mighty ULVER from Norway.

PURIFIED IN BLOOD's most recent album, "Reaper of Souls", was released in the U.S. in June 2006. The band, which was previously hailed as one of the most exciting acts to emerge from Norway since TURBONEGRO, combines blazing riffs and solos with controversially political lyrics. One might say that the group's innovative concept of "metal with a message" is something akin to EMPEROR-meets-EARTH CRISIS.

Boasting six members with two lead vocalists and a twin-guitar attack, PURIFIED IN BLOOD had become known for its high-energy live performances. In fact, the group won Norway's national underground music contest for unsigned bands (Zoom) in 2004, and the award for "Best Live Act" at Norway's prestigious Alarmprisen in 2006.
