PUDDLE OF MUDD: New Video Posted Online

October 20, 2003

A video for PUDDLE OF MUDD's new single, "Away From Me", has been posted online at this location. "Away From Me" comes off the group's upcoming sophomore album, "Life On Display" (view cover here),due on November 25 through Flawless/Geffen Records.

In this excerpt from Dean Karr's treatment for the "Away From Me" video, the director reveals his gritty concept and how he hopes to achieve it:

"Having recently spent time in the studio with the band, it was obvious to me that they are back with a 'harder,' 'rawer' sound — and that's what 'Away From Me' should encompass. I will combine kick-ass, energy-driven performance footage with dazzling moments — using my personal photographic animation techniques, and traditional stop-motion animation. Imaging is important here and a combination of styling and lighting will give them an identifiable look. We'll leave an impression to last. I will personally operate much of the camera work, ensuring violent moves to fit specific parts of 'Away From Me'. My camera will get closer than anyone has ever gotten to this band. I want gritting teeth, beads of sweat and tense eyes filling my lens."
