March 7, 2006

Los Angeles-based progressive thrash metal band PROTOTYPE have uploaded two tracks from their upcoming their sophomore effort, "Continuum", at this location. Due on April 25 via MetalAxe Records in Europe and Nightmare Records in the U.S., the CD is the follow-up to the band's full-length debut, "Trinity", which was issued in 2004 via Massacre Records.

"The material covers more varied aspects of what the band is capable of, from more thrashy moments to acoustic and prog passages," stated vocalist/guitarist Vince Levalois. Added guitarist Kragen Lum, "Working with Neil Kernon on the mix was a pleasure and really helped to bring out nuances in the sound that were previously absent." "The artwork really captures the feel of this album... Travis Smith did an incredible job," said bassist Kirk Scherer. Drum duties this time around were handled by former PROTOTYPE member Damion Ramirez (from 1995's "Seed" demo),with one track also featuring former drummer Pat Magrath.
