PROFANE OMEN Signs With SPINEFARM RECORDS

January 27, 2011

Finnish metallers PROFANE OMEN have inked a deal with Spinefarm Records. The band's third album is currently being recorded at Petrax studios in Hollola, Finland for a September release.

A studio diary has been launched at this location.

Bassist Tomppa Saarenketo left PROFANE OMEN in November due to his "lack of motivation." A replacement bassist has not yet been announced.

PROFANE OMEN's sophomore full-length album, 2009's "Inherit The Void", entered the national chart in the band's home country at position No. 9. The CD was recorded with producer Ville Sorvali of MOONSORROW and Aleksanteri Kuosa.

PROFANE OMEN's "Left To Disintegrate" video can be viewed below. This clip was shot by Timo Honkanen, Maria Jaskari, Jere Kilpinen, Petri Koivunen, Toni Salminen and PROFANE OMEN. It was directed and edited by Toni Salminen.

Based in Lahti, Finland, PROFANE OMEN was formed in 1999 and released its debut album, "Beaten into Submission", in 2006. An EP, "Disconnected", followed in 2007.
