POWERTRIP Records Theme Song For Swedish Floorball Team

September 17, 2007

Swedish female-fronted alternative rock/metal band POWERTRIP (photo) has announced that it has recorded the official song for Swedish floorball team Patriots. Longtime Patriots fans, POWERTRIP recorded the song live and members from the club and fanclub helped out with some serious kick-ass chanting! The song "Patriots" will from now on be the official theme for the club and will hopefully echo around the home games for many years to come.

Commented POWERTRIP bassist Peter Uvén: "It's one heavy kick-ass song that will suit the club perfectly! Patriots is as much rock 'n' roll as it gets in the world of sports and now they are going to get the perfect way express it as well!! This co-op between us and the club is quite unique in the world of sports. I don't think it has ever been done before, at least not in this fashion!"

POWERTRIP recently released its debut album, "Cold Black Lie", via Greece's Sleaszy Rider Records. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2006, and it contains "an onslaught of 10 uncompromising hard-hitting songs," according to a press release. "With dark and passionate lyrics it's a voyage to the dark corners of the mind, intense, raw and deeply touching. Every note, tone and word delivers a real-life experience, sometimes disturbing but always with pride and honesty."

POWERTRIP is:

Viktoria Johansson - Vocals
Peter Uvén - Bass
Per Eriksson - Guitar
Hampus Ek - Drums
