POISONBLACK Explains Finnish/Swedish Concert Cancellations

October 27, 2006

POISONBLACK's management has released the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding the cancellation of the Finnish and Swedish shows on the group's tour with LACUNA COIL:

"Due to [an] infection of Ville's [Laihiala, ex-SENTENCED] lungs the band was forced to cancel yesterday's [Oct. 26] show [in Tampere, Finland] and [tomorrow's in Stockholm] as well. Gothenburg show [on Oct. 29] might be next appearance if Ville feels 100% again, but POISONBLACK will be back on this tour latest in Berlin on Monday, [October] 30th and feel sad about cancellation. [On] doctor's advice there was no chance [for the band] to [take the] stage in Finland / Sweden."

POISONBLACK recently entered the Finnish national album chart with its sophomore CD, "Lust Stained Despair", at position No. 2. The group's video the song "Rush" has been posted online at YouTube.com. Also available at YouTube.com is a video clip of POISONBLACK mainman Ville Laihiala performing the band's song "Pain Becomes Me" acoustically. Check it out at this location.
