POISON, DROWNING POOL Members To Judge New Reality-TV Show 'Rock Race'

September 28, 2009

Kevin Goocher (of VH1's "I Know My Kid's A Star" and singer for PHANTOM-X) will host a new reality-TV show called "Rock Race". Confirmed judges for the series are Rikki Rockett of POISON and Stevie Benton of DROWNING POOL.

The casting producers of "Rock Race" are looking for the top 10 bands to compete on the nationally televised TV show for a record deal and management contract. Groups interested in auditioning should go to this location for details.

PHANTOM-X will tour in the spring of 2010 with the casting producers of "Rock Race" to twenty U.S. cities.

The band's third CD, "This Is War", will be released in February 2010 on Perris Records. The group is currently in the studio with JT Longoria (producer of KING DIAMOND) recording final tracks for the CD.

Chris Tsangarides (who has previously worked with THIN LIZZY, JUDAS PRIEST, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ANVIL, HELLOWEEN, BLACK SABBATH and CONCRETE BLONDE) is producing a new project featuring Goocher on vocals, Corvin Bahn (ULI JON ROTH, GAMMA RAY) on keyboards , Fotis Bernardo (SEPTICFLESH) on drums, and Kostas Varras on guitar.
