PHOBOCOSM Signs With DARK DESCENT RECORDS

March 31, 2014

PHOBOCOSM, the dark death metal band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada which features former members of VENGEFUL, has inked a deal with Dark Descent Records for the release of its debut album, "Deprived". Due late in the year, the CD was mixed and mastered by Colin Marston (GORGUTS, DYSRHYTHMIA, KRALLICE) and Chimère Noire (PORTAL, ABYSSAL) is currently working on the abum's artwork.

The label issued the following statement: "I first contacted this band over a year ago after C.S. from ADVERSARIAL told me how deadly their live set was. At the time, the band was still working on their debut full-length. A couple months ago I was contacted by the band and given an opportunity to listen to some pre-production material and later the finished full-length that was three years in the making. So, it is with great triumph that we welcome PHOBOCOSM into the Dark Descent Records pantheon."

Commented the band: "We are proud to announce that we have just signed with Dark Descent, the best label for dark death metal bands.

"Over the last few years, this label has released some of our favorite death metal albums and every time we discussed our search for a label, we always reached the conclusion that Dark Descent was the most logical option for us. We simply couldn't have found a better label to release our debut album, 'Deprived'."

The first sample from "Deprived" a track titled "Solipsist", can be streamed below.

PHOBOCOSM has been confirmed for the Wings Of Metal festival, set to take place on August 29-30 at Katacombes in Montreal.
