PHANTOM-X: New Guitarist Announced

July 28, 2008

PHANTOM-X, the Dallas, Texas-based band featuring former OMEN singer Kevin Goocher, has issued the following update:

"Dave Harvey [guitar] left PHANTOM-X to work on a WHITESNAKE tribute band in Dallas with [original PANTERA vocalist] Donny Hart. There were too many conflicts in scheduling between the bands so PHANTOM-X made the decision to move on. They have replaced him with Richard Tull. Richard has been featured in Guitar World and Keyboard magazines and has had his music licensed to MTV."

Comments Goocher: "Richard is the guitarist we wanted from the beginning. He is a shredding monster and a great performer on stage."

Drummer Danny White left PHANTOM-X in order to rejoin ASKA. Kevin states, "[We] will be announcing our new drummer soon and I promise it will be a great addition. I am not at liberty to reveal this answer just yet. But he is a bad-ass on drums, comes from a popular metal band, and is well known in the metal world."

Goocher adds: "We are extremely happy with our new members. They are not only excellent musicians, but they are great people and good friends. This lineup has everything Glenn Malicki (bassist) and I have always wanted for PHANTOM-X. We are very excited about the musical direction we are going and the power this lineup has."

PHANTOM-X is currently in the studio recording its third CD for a February 2009 release via Perris Records. The band is also scheduled to tour Europe and Brazil in July 2009, hitting several festivals along the way.
