PEACEVILLE RECORDS Founders Retire From Music Business

November 16, 2006

Hammy and Lisa Halmshaw, founders and long-standing managers of Peaceville Records, have announced plans to leave the label at the end of this month. Taking over as general manager will be Paul Groundwell, in association with Snapper Music, which has been involved with the business since 2000.

Commented Hammy: "While it has obviously been a difficult decision to make, after 25 years I think we've contributed as much as we can to the business and now it's time to move on to another chapter in life."

Added Cliff Dane of Snapper: "We are sad to see Hammy and Lisa go and wish them well, and are looking forward to the future, developing the label in the spirit they created."
