Parents Issue Plea To Missing SLIPKNOT Fan

August 10, 2005

BBC News is reporting that a 13-year-old British SLIPKNOT fan who walked out of her family home 10 days ago and is "a bright and talented schoolgirl" and "a typical teenager with a few extremes," her father has said.

Rachel Golden (photo) has run away twice before, but only stayed away from her East Sussex home for up to 48 hours.

Detectives consider the 13-year-old to be vulnerable because of her age.

On Wednesday, her parents pleaded with her to contact them saying they had been through 10 days of hell and they just wanted to know she was safe.

Police said there would be routine examinations of Rachel's mobile phone and computer to see if she went to meet someone from an Internet chatroom.

The teenager, who left her family home in Crowborough on August 1, is heavily into the "goth" scene.

She was wearing her usual "goth" gear when she went missing including knee-length black boots and a black "hoodie" top which bore the SLIPKNOT logo.
