PARAGON To Enter Studio This Weekend

July 14, 2004

German power metallers PARAGON will enter Eike Studio (owned by Eike Freese of DARK AGE) this weekend to record their contributions to the upcoming SAXON and RUNNING WILD tribute albums, to be released later in the year through Remedy Records. "From SAXON we will cover '20,000 Feet' [and] from RUNNING WILD we will NOT cover 'Masquerade' but 'Iron Heads', which was on the famous 'Death Metal' sampler and was one of the first songs RUNNING WILD ever recorded," PARAGON bassist Jan Bünning writes on the group's web site. "We altered both songs the 'PARAGON way' and we are sure they will both turn out great. We will also make some re-recordings of old 'Chalice Of Steel' songs we will use for the re-release of our second album, 'Final Command'. 'Final Command' will be re-released later this year on Remedy Records as CD and Picture LP."

As previously reported, PARAGON will enter Karo Studio in mid-August to begin recording follow-up to last year's "The Dark Legacy", tentatively due in early 2005. Songtitles set to appear on the as-yet-untitled CD include "Assassins", "Before The Storm", "Revenge", "Impaler" and "Traitor".
