PANZERCHRIST Parts Ways With Guitarist

December 14, 2006

Lead guitarist Frederik O'Carroll has quit the Danish extreme metal band PANZERCHRIST.

Commented O'Carroll: "After having thought about it for quite some time now, I've decided to leave the band. I've had a great run and I wish the rest of the band the best of luck."

PANZERCHRIST has yet to announce a replacement.

As previously reported, Mighty Music will reissue PANZERCHRIST's "Room Service" (2003) and "Soul Collector" (2000) albums as well as some previously unreleased material. Meanwhile, Mighty Music sub-label Prutten Records (which deals in vinyl-only releases) will issue the band's rare and sought-after legendary debut 1995 demo on limited-edition ultra-high-quality vinyl.

PANZERCHRIST's latest album, "Battalion Beast", was released in August via Neurotic Records. An e-card containing the tracks "The Gods They Do Not Give Us Long" and "The Lean Black Cruisers" from the CD has been made available at this location.

PANZERCHRIST, who embody Reno Kiilerich (ex-DIMMU BORGIR, DEW-SCENTED) on drums and Bo Summer (ILLDISPOSED) on vocals, recorded the drums, guitars and bass for "Battalion Beast" at Smart N' Hard studio with Jacob Bredahl (HATESPHERE) during February/March 2006. Vocals and keyboard were recorded by Ziggy at Zigsound. The latter was also responsible for mixing and mastering the album.
