PAIN Mainman Offers Update On New Album, Covers CD

April 6, 2006

PAIN mainman Peter Tägtgren has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"As most people know, I've been busy with the other band HYPOCRISY and gonna do the Neckbreakers Ball [European] tour in April and a few selected festivals. But at the same time I'm working on the [PAIN] covers and a new full CD, so I will not do any gigs this year with PAIN. The new songs are going more in the direction of the 'Rebirth' area. I'm hoping for a worldwide release in beginning of 2007 and a world tour with that. Hope to have some more concrete news soon."

PAIN's upcoming covers CD will include reworkings of such cuts as BJÖRK's "I Play Dead" and DEPECHE MODE's "Behind the Wheel". The band's latest album, "Dancing with the Dead", debuted at position No. 3 on the Swedish album chart in January 2005. The follow-up to 2002's "Nothing Remains the Same" was released in continental Europe in March 2005.
