P.O.D. To Open For METALLICA In The Winter?

P.O.D. vocalist Sonny Sandoval recently told Launch that METALLICA wanted them for this summer's Summer Sanitarium Tour, but the two bands will probably hook up on the road next winter.

"We've actually got a lot of offers to go out maybe in the beginning of the year," Sandoval said. "And so we actually got offered the METALLICA tour, but because we'll be in the studio and our record's not out, we didn't get to do it. But, hopefully in January, METALLICA will take us out."

P.O.D. are set to release their new album, tentatively titled "Payable On Death", on Nov. 4 through Atlantic Records.

The upcoming album will be the group's first since the departure of guitarist Marcos Curiel, who has been replaced with former LIVING SACRIFICE axeman Jason Truby.
