P.O.D.'s EP Demos Give Fans A Peek At Next Album

December 5, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: P.O.D.'s latest release, "The Warriors EP, Vol. 2", features demo versions of two songs — "Teachers" and "Ya Mama" — which the group is considering for their upcoming album, "Testify". Frontman Sonny Sandoval told Launch that including them on the EP would let P.O.D.'s fans get a peek at the group's creative process. "There's demo versions of songs that will be on the new record, so you can kind of go through the process of a year ago and then you can see where we made music changes, we made lyric changes, and so it's more or less for the hardcore kid that's like, 'Yeah, I heard the demo song, when you — you guys changed up a lot,'" he said.

"Testify" is due early next year, though an exact release date and track listing haven't been announced.

"The Warriors EP, Vol. 2" also includes B-sides and live versions of "Boom" and "Wildfire", and a cover of the PAYOLA$' "Eyes of a Stranger".

The first single from the album, "Goodbye for Now", is being used in the campaign for the film "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe", which hits theaters Friday (December 9).

P.O.D. performs tonight (Monday, December 5) at Earthlink Live in Atlanta.
