OZZY OSBOURNE To Be Joined By Daughter KELLY At First U.K. Arena Shows In Eight Years

May 29, 2003

OZZY OSBOURNE is starting a European tour in September with two U.K. headlining shows.

The dates are:

Friday, Sep. 05 – London @ Wembley Arena
Sunday, Sep. 07 - Birmingham @ NEC

Both shows will be OZZY'S first solo headlining shows in the U.K. in eight years and will feature another singing Osbourne, Ozzy's daughter Kelly, who will be the opening act. These shows mark the first time that Ozzy and Kelly have ever performed on the same stage.

The four-band bill will also feature the massive Finnish band H.I.M. and multi-platinum U.S. band GODSMACK.

Says Ozzy: 'I couldn't be happier about doing my own dates in the U.K. and having Kelly on the bill with me. Unfortunately, this means that we won't be bringing Ozzfest to the U.K. this year. When we realized we couldn't get the best bill possible due to many of the bands having previous commitments I decided that this would be a great opportunity to bring my full stage show over to rock the U.K.!"

Tickets for the OZZY dates are priced £32.50 and go on sale 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2.

As previously reported, Ozzy's full European itinerary is as follows. All dates with H.I.M. and GODSMACK, except as noted:

Sep. 05 - London, UK @ Wembley Arena (w/ KELLY OSBOURNE)
Sep. 07 - Birmingham, UK @ NEC (w/ KELLY OSBOURNE)
Sep. 09 - Rotterdam, NETH @ Ahoy
Sep. 10 - Oberhausen, GER @ König Pilsener Arena
Sep. 13 - Helsinki, FIN @ Hartwall Arena
Sep. 15 - Stockholm, SWE @ Globen
Sep. 16 - Oslo, NOR @ Spektrum
Sep. 19 - Zurich, SWI @ Hallenstadion
Sep. 20 - Salzburg, AUT @ Stadion
Sep. 22 - Stuttgart, GER @ Schleyerhalle
Sep. 24 - Vienna, AUT @ Stadthalle

H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo recently commented on the band's addition to the tour: "It was because of BLACK SABBATH that H.I.M. formed. So for us to end up sharing a stage with Ozzy is a truly wonderful thing for me personally. Excellent you know."
