OZZY OSBOURNE To Be Honored With 'Global Icon Award' At 2014 MTV EMA

Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Global Icon Award at the the 2014 MTV EMA (MTV Europe Music Awards),set to take place on Sunday, November 9 at the SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow, Scotland. Hosted by Nicki Minaj, the event will air live on MTV channels worldwide, The U.S. telecast will kick off live from Miami at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT with hosts Nick Cannon and Molly Tarlov.

Osbourne is the fifth-ever recipient of the Global Icon Award, following BON JOVI in 2010, QUEEN in 2011, Whitney Houston in 2012 and Eminem in 2013.

Ozzy's solo career retrospective, "Memoirs Of A Madman", was released on October 7.

Even though he will turn 66 this December, Ozzy told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he has no intention of calling it quits. "I don't wanna stop, you know," he said. "It's been the biggest love affair of my life."

He continued: "When you reach a certain age in rock 'n' roll, people think, 'Well, this has got to be his last tour,' or 'This has got to be his last tour,' or 'You've got to come next Tuesday 'cause he ain't gonna do it after that.'

"You'll know when I've come off the road permanently. I mean, you'll know!"

The "Memoirs Of A Madman" CD collects 17 of Ozzy's biggest solo hits and fan favorites, will be available as a single CD, two-LP set and two-LP picture disc set.

The "Memoirs" two-disc DVD set includes classic music videos, unreleased and out-of-print live performances, and interviews from his solo career.
