OZZY OSBOURNE: 'I'm Still Nuts, But In Control Of It A Bit More'

September 14, 2017

Ozzy Osbourne has opened up about his marriage, more than a year after he said he was suffering from sex addiction when a long-term affair was made public.

Asked about the secret to keeping his relationship to Sharon Osbourne going after more than thirty-five years, the BLACK SABBATH legend told Rolling Stone: "It's a rock and roll thing — you rock and you roll. You take the good with the bad.

"When I was a crazy fucker, I'm lucky she didn't walk out. Now I'm coming on five years clean and sober, and I've realized what a fucking idiot I was. I mean, I'm still nuts, but in control of it a bit more.

"When I said, 'Don't get caught by your missus,' I'm not proud of all that shit. I upset my wife and I upset my family and I made a lot of shock and shame. I love my wife, and it made me realize what a fucking idiot I've been."

Regarding what has kept the two of them together, Ozzy said: "I suppose it's fair to say we love each other. I love her, and she loves me. She was brought up in a music industry, so she's not like a schoolteacher who married a rock star. But that's a very good question. There's no other woman I really want to spend the rest of my life with. You make a mistake and you learn by it. She's made a few mistakes, and so have I.

"You know when you hear these people go, 'Oh, we've been married thirty-five years and we've never had a row.' I go, 'You must have been living in a different fucking country.' Sometimes I've looked at my wife and I've just been angry as fuck, and vice versa. Other times, I go, 'Fuck, I love you.'"

Ozzy added that forgiveness is "a good chunk" of the reason he and Sharon have managed to stay married despite several bumps in the road. "But then again, when you cross the fucking hurdles I have a few times, it's like, 'What the fuck's all this mean?'" he said. "I don't know the answer.

"In California, it's like a fashion style: you get married one weekend and get divorced the next. I've been married twice in my life. But I don't understand people that have been married fucking eight times or whatever. If this marriage ended, I'd go, 'There's something telling me I shouldn't be married.'"

Sharon recently claimed that Ozzy had several affairs before she learned of his indiscretions thanks to a misdirected e-mail.

In August of last year, Ozzy apologized to the women he had sexual relationships with and admitted to undergoing therapy for sex addiction. His statement came out in the wake of the first interview given by Michelle Pugh, the celebrity hairstylist whose four-year affair was discovered by Sharon and nearly ended their marriage.

But Sharon revealed in an interview with the British paper The Telegraph that "There wasn't just one woman; there were six of them. Some fucking Russian teenager... then a masseuse in England... our masseuse out here in Los Angeles...and then our cook. He had women in different countries. Basically, if you're a woman giving Ozzy either a back rub or a trolley of food, God help you."

Ozzy's affair with Pugh was exposed in May 2016 after Sharon learned of the mistress by searching through his e-mails.

When asked by Hello! this past spring how he got things "back on track" with Sharon, Ozzy said: "To be honest with you, it's only been recently that Sharon's been properly with me. I've damaged our relationship. But I promised her that I would stick with my sex addiction therapy. I don't want to be that person anymore. I've been doing my utmost to make amends to Sharon and to all of the family."

Ozzy is still undergoing therapy for his sex addiction.
