OZZY And SHARON OSBOURNE Top U.K. Parents Poll

April 8, 2005

Sky News is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon have been voted the U.K.'s favorite parents.

The Prince of Wales and his bride-to-be Camilla Parker-Bowles, whose son Tom was exposed snorting cocaine at a West End party, are the nation's least favourite parents, the MTV survey found.

The news will come as a welcome relief to the duo who have suffered a string of disasters in the last year.

This week, it was revealed that daughter Aimee had been treated for a breast cancer scare. Last week a blaze broke out at their Buckinghamshire mansion causing thousands of pounds of damage.

Sharon has battled with colon cancer, Ozzy suffered a near fatal accident on a quad bike and Jack and Kelly are both battling drug addiction.

Last year millions of pounds of gems were stolen from the couple's Buckinghamshire mansion and, in February, Jack had gems worth £200,000 stolen from a suitcase.

This month, Ozzy celebrates one year free of drink and drugs.

The BLACK SABBATH star said recently: "I was killing myself every day with drugs and alcohol.

"At one point, I drank four bottles of Hennessy cognac a day — and cocaine, speed, whatever. I'm a singer, but I smoked around the clock."

The poll of 500 adults was commissioned by MTV to mark the last episode of "The Osbournes" on Sunday, April 17.
