ORPHANED LAND Schedule Romanian Concert

June 27, 2006

Israeli metal band ORPHANED LAND have scheduled an appearance at Samfest in Satu-Mare, Romania on July 22.

ORPHANED LAND recently announced the details of three special concerts to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of their second album, "El Norra Alila". The concerts, which will take place this summer in Israel and Turkey, will see the band perform a two-hour set cosisting of the entire "El Norra Alila" CD along with selections from the band's other albums. The dates are as follows:

Jul. 29 - Tel Aviv, ISR @ Theatre Club
Sep. 14 - Istanbul, TUR @ Yeni Melek
Sep. 16 - Ankara, TUR @ Saklikent

As previously reported, Holy Records has just reissued a remastered version of "El Norra Alila", featuring one bonus audio track and two bonus video CD-ROM live songs in a deluxe digipack.

ORPHANED LAND are currently working on material for their new album, "ORwarriOR", which will be produced by Steven Wilson of PORCUPINE TREE. A 2007 release via Century Media Records is expected.

ORPHANED LAND is a band which combines progressive heavy/death-metal rock with ethnic Middle Eastern/Arabic/Israeli elements, a unique hybrid of styles that contributed to Steven's decision to work with them. The group have recorded three albums to date, the most recent of which, "Mabool", was their Century Media debut.

Existing completely outside of the mainstream, ORPHANED LAND have managed to create a large worldwide following, and their recent appearances in Europe and the USA at the ProgPower festivals have brought them to the attention of a whole new audience. Wilson is, of course, known from his main project PORCUPINE TREE as well as the producer of three of OPETH's albums.
