Original YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Artwork Released By Artist

February 12, 2005

In early 1999, artist Ioannis (FATES WARNING, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, KING CRIMSON, DEEP PURPLE, DREAM THEATER) completed the art for YNGWIE MALMSTEEN's album "Alchemy", which is often cited as one of Yngwie's finest covers by critics and fans. A limited-edition signed print by Ioannis was produced and sold on Yngwie Malmsteen's 1999 Japanese tour.

Unfortunately the original artwork was accidentally destroyed at the printing plant during the creation of this limited-edition print. Using the original sketches and saved digital files, Ioannis has created fifteen (15) canvas prints measuring 20" X 24". This is the approximate size of the original painting. Each of the fifteen (15) canvas prints are printed in archival inks. Ioannis has also handpainted certain sections of each canvas print making it a one-of-a-kind original making it the closest thing to owning an original Ioannis/Yngwie painting. The canvas edition will be limited to the fifteen (15) pieces and not reproduced again, making it a unique collectable. The art is framed, matted and ready for display.

Included in the collectors' editions package is:

* The original "Alchemy" print from the 1999 tour (unframed)

* A special edition digital print of the Ioannis artwork featured in the CD booklet of "Alchemy". This print is only available in this collectors' package (unframed)

* All the artwork and prints come hand signed by Ioannis and with Certificates of Authenticity.
