Original KISS Drummer PETER CRISS To Serve As Honorary Chairman Of '10,000 Hot Dogs'

June 26, 2014

According to the Asbury Park Press, original KISS drummer Peter Criss will serve as an honorary chairman of 10,000 Hot Dogs, a summer-long benefit for The Foodbank Of Monmouth And Ocean Counties in New Jersey.

"Summer time is fun on a bun," said Criss in a statement. "Help us feed our community and feed the hungry."

The Foodbank Of Monmouth And Ocean Counties teamed up with Sabrett and WindMill restaurants to raise money to provide food for those in our communities who don’t have enough to eat. Each $5.00 donation to this project will help The Foodbank Of Monmouth And Ocean Counties deliver 15 meals and hope to struggling families. In addition, Sabrett will donate up to 10,000 hot dogs matching each $5.00 donation (with one hot dog to The Food Bank). The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $50,000.00 to maximize the contribution from Sabrett, which would result in 160,000 meals in total for Monmouth and Ocean County families.

Currently in the 30th year of operation, The Foodbank Of Monmouth And Ocean Counties' continued mission is to alleviate hunger and build food security in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The FoodBank envisions Monmouth and Ocean Counties as a food secure community where all people at all times have access to enough nutritious food to maintain an active and healthy life.

Sponsors that have committed their support to 10,000 Hot Dogs include Sabrett, WindMill restaurants, Spectrotel and Bimbo bakeries.
