ORIGIN Part Ways With Guitarist/Vocalist, Drummer; Seek Replacements

October 10, 2005

Kansas-based death metallers ORIGIN have parted ways with Clinton Appelhanz (guitar, vocals) and James King (drums) due to "personal and creative differences. [We] would like to personaly thank these guys for their dedication and hard work to this project and let people know that 'Echoes Of Decimation' [ORIGIN's third and most recent album] could not have been done without them," the band write on their web site. "[We are] currently looking for replacements in each position respectively… Serious inquiries only. Contact [the band] at [email protected]."

In the meantime, Appelhanz and King have completed work on a full-length album with their new band UNMERCIFUL, which also features in its ranks former ORIGIN member/CANNIBAL CORPSE touring guitarist Jeremy Turner. The band, who describe their musical style as "modern blasting American death metal," are currently seeking a label home.
