According to the band, the record is definitely a progression from 2004's "Thieving from the House of God" and is based on its local history. Vocalist Ben Ward states that "it's not a concept album at all but we are using the theme of the Great Plague of London and the Great Fire that followed for a lot of lyrical and musical influence. It's definitely the strongest material we have written."

In other news, ORANGE GOBLIN has announced that it will be playing its first-ever show on Polish soil on Saturday, June 2. The concert will take place at the Firlej Club in Wroclaw, Poland. Support will come from Polish band CORRUPTION.
