ONSLAUGHT To Enter Studio Tomorrow

July 25, 2006

Vocalist Sy Keeler of the reformed lineup of the classic U.K. thrash outfit ONSLAUGHT has issued the following update:

"The day has arrived. After two rescheduled dates, ONSLAUGHT will enter Backstage studio [in Derbyshire, England] with producer Andy Sneap tomorrow, July 26th, to start work on 'Killing Peace', due to be released worldwide through the legendary Candlelight label. I am so excited and can't wait for everyone to hear the finished album. Thrash metal will never be the same again. It's time for SLAYER to step aside. Our lyrical content is ugly and 'will' upset people. The music is so fucking brutal. Is that the same band who recorded 'In Search of Sanity'? A mix of 'Power from Hell' and 'The Force', dragged screaming and thrashing into the 21st century. You have been warned!

"ONSLAUGHT would like to send a message to Bulgarian fans who were hoping to catch the band at the recently cancelled Bulgarian Monsters of Rock Festival. We have had tons of email since we were announced on the bill. All I can say is we will get to Bulgaria as soon as possible."

Songtitles set to appear on "Killing Peace" include "Destroyer of Worlds", "Pain", "Tested to Destruction", "Burn", "Shock and Awe", "Prayer for the Dead", "Twisted Jesus", and "Killing Peace". The band's current lineup includes Sy Keeler (vocals),Nige Rockett (guitars),Steve Grice (drums),James Hinder (bass) and the group's latest addition, guitarist Alan Jordan (ex-MIRROR MIRROR, FRANKENSTEIN).

ONSLAUGHT recorded three albums in the late 1980s — including the underrated "In Search of Sanity" (1989, Polydor),featuring ex-GRIM REAPER frontman Steve Grimmett — before calling it a day.

Upcoming ONSLAUGHT dates:

Aug. 11 - Metal Mania Open Air - SLO
Aug. 12 - Brutal Assault - CZR
Aug. 19 - Jalometalli - FIN
Sep. 16-17 - Thrash Domination 06 @ Club Citta – Tokyo, JPN
Sep. 30 - Bloodstock Indoor Festival @ Assembly Rooms – Derby, UK
