Ohio DJ To Explore World Of Backward Masking In Rock Music

September 20, 2006

This Friday (September 22) from 9:00 p.m. until midnight, WRQK (Rock 107) Canton, Ohio DJ Joe Kleon will explore the world of backward masking in rock music.

In addition to well-known examples, such as LED ZEPPELIN, THE BEATLES, PINK FLOYD, QUEEN, and IRON MAIDEN, Joe will play backward masking excerpts from artists such as METALLICA, CHEAP TRICK, OZZY OSBOURNE, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, CRADLE OF FILTH, STYX, DEF LEPPARD, BRITNEY SPEARS, and more. Joe will also play additional examples of reverse speech from spoken word recordings.

Judge for yourself if reverse speech is a subconscious look into communication, which has a subliminal influence on listeners, or just random combinations of sound.
