ODIN GRANGE: RAGING SLAB And BACKDRAFT Members Join Forces

March 11, 2004

Formed out of the ashes of two of this world's premier purveyors of the boogie groove known to most folks as "southern rock" the new, trans-Atlantic group ODIN GRANGE (pronounced Oudinn Greyng) has announced its inception.

The band features four Swedes previously known as BACKDRAFTRob (guitar),Snejken (guitar),Mats (bass),Nick (drums) who released their acclaimed debut album "Here To Save You All" (Lunasound Recording, 2001),and toured Europe with the likes of FIVE HORSE JOHNSON, SUPERSUCKERS and LEADFOOT.

And in the frontman position, one Polish-cum-NYC-cum-Pennsylvania rock veteran, Greg Strzempka of RAGING SLAB, who has released albums like "Raging Slab" (RCA, 1989),"Dynamite Monster Boogie Concert" (American Recordings, 1992) and "Pronounced Eat Shit" (Tee Pee, 2002) and toured with everyone from BLACK OAK ARKANSAS to GUNS N' ROSES.

This new band will first embark on a shorter European tour in March, and later re-appear at a few summer festivals. The group's first album will hopefully see the light of day in the third quarter of 2004 on an as-yet-undetermined label.
