NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS Announces Finalists Of 'Unsigned Band' Contest

Nuclear Blast Records has announced the finalists of their "unsigned band" competition which was held last year. More than 1,500 submissions were received, and according to a posting on the label's web site, "especially the packagings were really impressive. [For] that reason, we decided to award the five most innovative packages with a special prize. Within the next weeks we'll announce the final winners of the contest!"

Nuclear Blast last August announced that it was offering young unisigned bands a chance to sign a record deal. In a unique contest that was said to be the first of its kind in Nuclear Blast's history, bands were given an opportunity to win a contract with one of the leading independent labels for heavy music.
