NORTHER Confirmed For Germany's WACKEN OPEN AIR Festival

Finnish metallers NORTHER have been confirmed for next year's installment of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 2-4, 2007 in Wacken, Germany. The billing is now shaping up as follows (in alphabetical order):

NORTHER's video for the new song "Frozen Angel" has been posted online at this location (MPG file, 41 MB). The track is featured on the soundtrack to the new Finnish film "V2: Jäätynyt Enkeli", which is being released in Finland on January 5 via King Foo Entertainment. Also scheduled to appear on the soundtrack are AMORPHIS, KOTIPELTO and THUNDERSTONE, among other artists.

NORTHER will release a new five-song EP, entitled "No Way Back", in February 2007. According to a posting on the group's web site, "this album is made in co-operation with Suomen Musiikki and Mr. Kari Hynninen."

NORTHER's latest album, "Till Death Unites Us", was issued in Finland in late January and the rest of Europe in March. The CD entered the official Finnish chart at position No. 6. The group's "Scream" single debuted on the Finnish single chart at position No. 3.
