NOISE WITHIN Parts Ways With Guitarist

September 18, 2009

NOISE WITHIN, the project featuring singer/guitarist Boris Bouma (EPIDEMIC),bassist John "Tumor" Fahnestock (SNOT, AMEN) and drummer Pedro Vasquez, has parted ways with guitarist Aaron Slipp (PRONG, TAD). The band will carry on as a three-piece.

Comments Bouma: "It wasn't anything personal; Aaron is a big talent and a hilarious guy, but freeing up time from the old day job to not get paid making music is not something everyone is willing to do forever." He adds, "The other reason is that I used to be happy just writing/tracking stuff, then showing it to Aaron, so I could dump the guitar and sing. If I'm honest, it became less and less gratifying to do that."

"Lately I've been having more and more fun playing guitar, and since I recorded 90% of the album guitars myself anyway, along with playing the songs five million fucking times auditioning drummers, why not do it live? John always wanted to do a three piece, and this way I have one less phone call to make when planning things. Who knows?! I may not like actually carrying an instrument and gear to a gig, or not being able to mop the stage with myself. We'll see."

NOISE WITHIN will make its live debut as a three-piece on October 4 at the Viper Room in West Hollywood. There is an unlimited FREE guest list for the event on a first-come-first-served basis. Contact: noisewithinband(at)gmail.com.
