November 2, 2005

Swedish melodic metallers NOCTURNAL RITES have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Nils Norberg [guitar] is going to Japan later this week for a combined promotion and guitar trip! He will be shredding his Caparison guitars at the Musical Instruments Fair for a few days and then do magazine, TV and radio interviews for [the new NOCTURNAL RITES album] 'Grand Illusion'. Other prominent musicians performing at the Musicial Instruments Fair include George Lynch (ex-DOKKEN),Nuno Bettencourt (ex-EXTREME) and Simon Phillips (JEFF BECK, STEVE LUKATHER, TOTO). We are pretty sure Mr. Norberg will have a blast going back to this beautiful country, especially when not being flanked by four other morons."

NOCTURNAL RITES' latest album, "Grand Illusion", was released in September via Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2004's "New World Messiah" was recorded and mixed at Toontrack Studioin UmeƄ, Sweden and features guest appearances by Stefan Elmgren (HAMMERFALL),Jens Johansson (STRATOVARIUS),Henrik Danhage (EVERGREY),Kristoffer W. Olivius (NAGLFAR) and Swedish cross-country skiing world champion, Per Elofsson.

"Grand Illusion" includes a bonus DVD featuring three videos from "New World Messiah", the "Fools Never Die" clip, a "Making of Grand Illusion" segment and extra footage from the "Demons of the Opera" show.
