NIGHTWISH: Take A Video Tour Of Band's Finnish Recording Studio

October 27, 2007

A 10-minute video tour of NIGHTWISH's recording studio/headquarers in Kitee, Finland hosted by the group's new lead singer, Anette Olzon, can be viewed below (Note: The footage was originally included on a DVD that accompanied a recent issue of the German edition of the Metal Hammer magazine).

A brand new audio interview with Anette Olzon conducted on October 15, 2007 in West Springfield, Virginia has been posted online at MetalExposed.com.

NIGHTWISH's new album, "Dark Passion Play", has been certified triple platinum in Finland for sales in excess of 90,000 copies. The CD has sold 20,000 copies in the United States since its October 2, 2007 release.

In a brand new interview with ChartAttack.com, NIGHTWISH keyboardist and main songwriter Tuomas Holopainen broke down why so many people have embraced NIGHTWISH's music like this:

"Our music is very diverse," he said. "There's the real heavy stuff, there's a lot of ballads as well, and the hybrid of orchestra with guitars, so it's a little bit for everybody, I guess.

"I think it's the honesty of the music. We've never followed any trends. We've always done things our own way. People have inner feelings when they sense what's real and what's not. Even though we are kind of childish and kind of a naive band, there is a lot of honesty, and that's what people can appreciate."
