NIGHTWISH: 'Once' Tops European Album Charts

NIGHTWISH have sold in excess of 80,000 copies of their new album, "Once", in Germany during its first week of release to debut at No. 1 on the German album chart. "Once" has also topped the charts in Greece, Finland and Norway. In Sweden, the album entered the chart at No. 2 while in Austria it came in at No. 4.

NIGHTWISH have sold more than 30,000 copies of "Once", in Finland — enough for the CD to be certified platinum in the group's home country. A U.S. release date for the album has yet to be announced.

The group will launch their world tour in support of "Once", dubbed "Once Upon A Tour 2004-2005", this summer. The trek is expected to last until the autumn of 2005.
