NIGHTWISH Frontwoman's Solo Single Certified Gold

NIGHTWISH frontwoman Tarja Turunen's new solo single, "Yhden Enkelin Unelma" ("One Angel's Dream"),has been certified gold in Finland for sales in excess of 5,000 copies (gold certification for albums is 15,000 copies). The single, which was released earlier this month, entered the Finnish single chart at position No. 2 and has since moved into the No. 1 slot. View the whole chart at this location.

As previously reported, Turunen recently completed a video shoot for her collaboration with German "Star Search" winner Martin Kesici on his song "Leaving You for Me", which is due to appear on Kesici's second album. The "Leaving You for Me" single is scheduled for release on January 31, 2005 and will include the promotional video for the song.
