NIGHT IN GALES: New Song Available For Streaming

September 2, 2011

"This Neon Grave", a brand new song from German melodic death metallers NIGHT IN GALES, can be streamed on the band's Facebook page. (Note: You must "like" the group in order to stream the track.) The cut comes off NIGHT IN GALES' fifth album, "Five Scars", which will be released on November 7 in Europe and a day later in North America via Lifeforce Records. According to a press release, the CD "successfully combines all of the band's past trademarks within the typically Swedish melodic death metal sound structure without rejecting new influences and thus making it both the most melodically accessible as well as also the most aggressive effort in the band's history so far, smoothly rounded off with a killer sound mix courtesy of scene icon Dan Swan (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH)."

Comments singer Bjrn Goosses: "Time has come, folks! After a full fuckin' decade since NIGHT IN GALES' last full length and the recent signing to Lifeforce Records, the first track from their new album 'Five Scars' is online now!"

According to a press release, "'This Neon Grave' is a little story about a bunch of sociopathic misfits, who rush through this brave new world of sensory overload. All in the name of success, fame, money and other modern day icons, this bunch of poor outcasts is doomed to lose their way within this world. So all these neon, bleeping and blinking temptations and fake promises and are finally nothing but a neon grave to them. Apart from that 'This Neon Grave' is simply a great song that captures what NIGHT IN GALES 2011 is all about!"

Dan Swan, who mixed and mastered "Five Scars", stated about the CD, "Working with NIGHT IN GALES was pure bliss for me. The material is very strong due to the fact that it's been around for quite some time now, and it feels almost like a 'best-of' album sometimes, because it's so solid all the way through. Working on this album actually ignited a spark in my own writing and I came up with one of the best death/AOR songs I have ever written during the mix of this album!! Easily one of the best melodic death metal releases of the year!!"

NIGHT IN GALES is:

Bjrn Goosses - Vocals
Jens Basten - Guitar
Frank Basten - Guitar
Tobias Bruchmann - Bass
Adriano Ricci - Drums

NIGHT IN GALES' most recent full-length album, "Necrodynamic", was released in 2001 via Massacre Records. Prior to signing with Massacre, the band released three albums through Nuclear Blast Records (1997's "Toward the Twilight", 1998's "Thunderbeast" and 2000's "Nailwork").
