New DIVINE HERESY Singer Featured In THE BEREAVED's 'Alter The Image' Video

August 21, 2008

"Alter the Image", the new video from the Swedish melodic death/thrash metal band THE BEREAVED — which features in its ranks American singer Travis Neal (DIVINE HERESY, PUSHED) — can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's new album, "Daylight Deception", which is scheduled for release later in the year via Vic Records.

"Daylight Deception" will feature 10 tracks, "some of [which] you may have heard and some [of which] will be new," according to the band. "All the songs have been re-written with new vocal patterns and lyrics, except for 'Skeleteen' and 'Zero of the Day'. Those two songs will have the same lyrics but with new patterns."

"Daylight Deception" track listing (in no particular order):

01. Alter the Image
02. Heartlight Signal
03. Shelter through Severance
04. Freezing the Blood
05. An Inconvenient Lie
06. Skeleteen
07. Zero of the Day
08. Imprint of a Star
09. Cold December Day
10. Parasitic Sleep

THE BEREAVED's debut album, "Darkened Silhouette", was released in 2005 via the now-defunct Greek label Black Lotus Records.

Last week, Travis Neal was officially named the new lead singer for DIVINE HERESY, the Southern California-based band led by former FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares. A tour of Mexico will kick off at the end of August, to be followed by a string of U.S. dates.

DIVINE HERESY has posted a new version of the the title cut of the band's debut album, "Bleed the Fifth", featuring Neal on vocals. Check it out at this location. A video for the track is also currently being edited together for an early September air date.
