NEVERMORE: CENTURY MEDIA Is To Blame For WARPED Cancellation

July 20, 2002

NEVERMORE frontman Warrel Dane has issued the following statement explaining the group's decision to cancel their appearance on the Warped tour:

"We regretfully have to cancel the Warped dates due to the fact that Century Media will not give us the tour support to do the tour. Our A&R at CM was VERY helpful, but eventually higher-ups decided to play power games that we feel are not appropriate treatment for a band that they expect to re-sign to their label. All this after they got us on this tour and already have done a lot of promotion for it. We would have to pay for this tour from our own pockets at this point and unfortunately this will not work because of our financial situation. For any NEVERMORE fans that had planned to attend please know that the band did all we could do to avoid this cancellation."
