NERVECELL To Support AS I LAY DYING In Sri Lanka

November 18, 2009

Dubai, United Arab Emirates-based death/thrash act NERVECELL will support AS I LAY DYING on December 19 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

"We played with AS I LAY DYING at Dubai Desert Rock Festival 2008 and it's really great to be sharing the stage with them once again, only this time in a whole new country!" NERVECELL said in a statement. "This will be NERVECELL's first ever live show in Sri Lanka and the band is really looking forward to see some crazy Sri Lankan metal fans come down and go crazy!!!"

NERVECELL recently inked a deal with Lifeforce Records. The band's "Preaching Venom" album was released in Europe on October 26.

Commented Lifeforce CEO Stefan Lüdicke: "After meeting the guys at this year's With Full Force festival, it was an easy decision for us to say that we need to work with NERVECELL. We hardly ever met a band with such strong work ethic and with the highly professional team of people working for the band it will be a great pleasure for us to get the name NERVECELL out to the world."

"Preaching Venom" was released in April 2008 in the Middle East (via Spellbind Records) and features PSYCROPTIC's David Haley (also of THE AMENTA, RUINS) on drums. The CD was mixed at Hertz Studio (VADER, DECAPITATED, HATE) in Poland by Wieslawscy Bros. and was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (SEPULTURA, SUFFOCATION, UNEARTH) in New Windsor, New York.

Austria's Stormbringer.at webzine conducted an interview with NERVECELL's Rami Mustafa (lead guitar) and Barney Ribeiro (rhythm guitar) at this year's Way Of Darkness festival, which was held October 2-3, 2009 in Lichtenfels, Germany. Watch the chat below.
