June 16, 2009

Metal Mark of SkullsNBones.com conducted an interview with Sami Raatikainen, the Finnish guitarist who plays for the German technical death metal band NECROPHAGIST, on June 13, 2009 prior to the group's concert in Atlanta, Georgia as part of the Summer Slaughter tour. Watch the five-minute chat below.

NECROPHAGIST's most recent album, "Epitaph", came out in 2004. A new CD is expected to be recorded later in the year for a 2010 release.

With "Epitaph", NECROPHAGIST pushed the boundaries of technical and progressive death metal to new heights. Uniting influences from different styles, including classical music, the CD showcased NECROPHAGIST's demanding dexterity, inhuman brutality and fury.
