NATRON: Former Bassist Rejoins The Fold

September 26, 2005

Italian death metallers NATRON have issued the following update:

"Last week we officially parted ways with our bass player, Michael Maggi, due to his need in moving towards different music direction. We duly thank him for his services in the band all over the past two years and a half and wish him the best of luck for his career. Handling the deep notes now is Lorenzo 'Funj' Signorile, our former bass player from 1995 to 2002, who was keen to rejoin the fold after three years. Funj played and sang — among others — in the band's pummelling 1997 debut, 'Hung, Drawn and Quartered', and also recorded 'Negative Prevails', 'Bedtime for Mercy' albums and the 'Unpure' mini-CD.

"The classic NATRON lineup is back again to crush everything in its way!

"In other news, we're currently in writing mode and seriously [talking] about releasing a new album next summer 2006. Holy Records still has an option on NATRON, but we actually don't know if they're going put out the next band effort. To continue with them is yet a matter to discuss so we'll be back with updates in this topic in the next weeks.

"About touring: we're settling up a new European trek to be held in February
2006 along with Swedish gore death masters DERANGED, so promoters are more then welcomed to get in touch for booking. As soon as we get the whole tour schedule, you must check the gig section and see if the 'Europe in Gore' tour madness is coming to your town……

"And last but not least, the possibility [exists] in the future band's plans to fly overseas for the first time for a short Mexican tour with local mighty deathsters PULVERIZER. We're talkin' about this too, so stay tuned."

NATRON's fourth full-length album, "Livid Corruption", was released last November through Holy Records. The follow-up to 2000's "Bedtime For Mercy" was recorded at Jolly Roger studios in Italy and was mixed at Starstruck studios in Denmark with Anders Lundemark (KONKHRA). The mastering session took place in Paris, France.
