NAPALM DEATH: 'Punishment In Capitals' To Receive U.S. Release

June 4, 2007

Long sought after as a collectors' import item, NAPALM DEATH's 28-track live album, "Punishment in Capitals", is finally being released for the first time in the United States by Armoury Records (distributed stateside by Eagle Rock Entertainment) on June 12.

This deathball of metal history, recorded in 2003 London at the ULU, features vocalist Barney Greenway, guitarists Mitch Harris/Jesse Pintado, bassist Shane Embury and drummer Danny Herrera at the height of their stonecold headbanging heaviness…a solid hour of such.

Epitomizing the essence of what came to be known as "grindcore," NAPALM DEATH was born in Birmingham, England in 1981. Running out of original members by the time its second album came out, the band at first consisted of a revolving door of thrash and hardcore luminaries, many who have gone on to form other such bands as CARCASS, GODFLESH, CATHEDRAL and others. The current lineup, though, has been solvent since '91, sans Pintado, who passed away in 1996.

Eagle Rock Entertainment develops, acquires and produces music programming for a wide range of notable and high profile artists, which the company distributes on a worldwide basis. Eagle Rock Entertainment, Eagle Vision and Eagle Eye Media are wholly owned divisions of Eagle Rock Group, Ltd.
