NAPALM DEATH: Covers Album Pushed Back To Early 2004

September 9, 2003

NAPALM DEATH have pushed back the projected release date of their upcoming collection of covers, entitled "Leaders Not Followers 2", to early 2004 through the band's own Feto label. "[We're] finally gonna get the mixing underway next week which is a relief," writes bassist Shane Embury on the band's web site.

As previously reported, "Leaders Not Followers 2" will include the following cuts:

01. CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER – "Lowlife"
02. OFFENDERS – "Face Down In The Dirt"
03. DEVASTATION – "Devastation"
04. ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT - "Dope Fiend"
05. AGNOSTIC FRONT - "Blind Justice"
06. WEHRMACHT - "Night Of Pain"
07. ANTI CIMEX - "Game Of The Assholes"/"Victims Of A Bomb Raid"
08. SEPULTURA - "Troops Of Doom"
09. INSANITY - "Fire Death Fate"
10. HIRAX - "Hate Fear + Power"
11. DAYGLO ABORTIONS - "Bedtime Story"
12. HELLHAMMER - "Messiah"
13. KREATOR - "Riot Of Violence"
14. DISCHARGE - "War's Not Fairytale"
15. SIEGE - "Conform"
16. MASSACRE - "Clangor Of War"
17. MASTER - "Master"
18. DIE KREUZEN - "I'm Tired"

NAPALM DEATH frontman Mark "Barney" Greenway recently told BLABBERMOUTH.NET: "This is very much in the same vibe as the original 'Leaders Not Followers' six-tracker, if not even more raw. Of course, writing your own songs is always a blast, but covering stuff from the past that you believed in so strongly just cranks the fun element up to the max. Again, I hope the importance of some of these metal/hardcore/punk standards to today's extreme scene shines through like a great big fucking beacon."
