MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE: 'God Of Nothing' Video Released

May 22, 2012

"God Of Nothing", the new video from the Alabama metal powerhouse MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE, can be seen below. The song comes off MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE's third, self-titled album, which was released on March 13 via Solid State Records. The CD was the band's third release in six years, and the first since 2010's lauded "Lost Boy", which debuted at No. 183 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"We chose 'God of Nothing' as our premiere video because we feel like it encompasses all aspects of our band, new and old," says MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE frontman Matthew Hasting. "Fans of metal, hardcore, and nu-metal can all find a part of the song they can really get into! Plus it's one of our favorite, more experimental songs from the self-titled release!"

Produced by Jimmie Myers (UNDEROATH, AUGUST BURNS RED),the darkly powerful clip finds the band giving a savage performance while doused in black latex paint that, Hasting assures, is much more fun to look at than it was to wear.

"I'm not going to sugarcoat anything, probably one of the worst moments of my life," Hasting laughs. "It was freezing outside, and tons of performance takes made the paint dry in our hair and skin, making it almost impossible to get off. To remove it from my eyes and face, to insure no health hazards, I had to crawl into an ice-cold creek near our shoot at 3 a.m. in 30-degree weather. Definitely will remember this video for the rest of my life. Everyone better watch it!"

MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE is currently wrapping up tour dates in the Midwest and will take a brief breather before heading out to support DEMON HUNTER on the Scream The Prayer tour in June alongside the likes of EMERY, SLEEPING GIANT, CLOSE YOUR EYES, HUNDREDTH, THE GREAT COMMISSION, GIDEON, A BULLET FOR A PRETTY BOY and YOUR MEMORIAL.

Recorded with esteemed producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL),"Mychildren Mybride" finds the band reaching deep mentally and emotionally for what is without a doubt their crowning achievement thus far, a hard-hitting, experimental, cinematic opus that has set a fire in the hearts of old and new fans alike. MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE have boldly redefined themselves for this new chapter of their career, and as a result, the album has been met with fanfare from both theband's legion of followers and tastemakers throughout the music world, including magazines such as Outburn, which annointed "Mychildren Mybride" with a perfect 10-out-of-10 rating, praising the album as "above all others this year thus far."

"While writing MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE we were very conscious of what our fans had to say about 'Unbreakable' and 'Lost Boy' and what they wanted to hear," Hasting says. "We're so happy that old MCMB fans and new are loving the album as much as our first, and last, and even more so than the past two."
