MY RUIN Film First-Ever DVD, Prepare To Support MOTÖRHEAD

March 7, 2006

MY RUIN, the Los Angeles-based rock band fronted by Tairrie B., have returned from the U.K. where they recently toured in support of their new album, "The Brutal Language". The successful trek was filmed and documented for what will be the band's first official DVD, "Spilling Open", to be released later in the year via their own imprint, Rovena Recordings, through Undergroove Records in the U.K. Check out "teaser" clips and photos from the tour at www.myspace.com/myruinfilms.

MY RUIN's U.K. tour was the first in Britain with bassist Chris Lisee and drummer Matt Lechevalier, who found the fans really receptive to them as new members and had an incredible time. MY RUIN's set included medleys featuring material the band haven't played in years off their 2000 release "A Prayer Under Pressure of Violent Anguish", as well songs from new album, "The Brutal Language", which was mixed by Nick Raskulinecz and produced by guitarist Mick Murphy (who also played bass and drums on the album).

Murphy and vocalist/partner Tairrie B. celebrated the release of "Death Has Become Her", their spoken-word side project the duo record under the name "The LVRS" which hit the streets on Valentine's day in Europe. Previously having only been available for purchase via the band's web site and at MY RUIN shows, this was the project's first "official" release. Heavily themed in love, violence, religion, sex, death and romance, "Death Has Become Her" features selected tracks from both "The Murder of Miss Hollywood" and "The Secret Life of Lola Burns" (the first two CD chapters from THE LVRS) plus two new stories of uneasy listening.

In other news, MY RUIN have posted an MP3 of the interview they did while in London on the "Rock Show" with XFM's Ian Camfield on the band's player at www.myspace.com/myruin.

MY RUIN will be appearing with the legendary MOTÖRHEAD on March 9 at the House of Blues in San Diego and March 10 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. They will also be headlining The Whisky in Hollywood on April 1 and Brick by Brick in San Diego on April 3 with special guests IN THIS MOMENT and UNDER THE STONE.
