MUSTASCH was honored with the "Best Hard Rock" award at the Swedish "Grammis" gala, which was held this past Friday night (January 15) at Münchenbryggeriet in Stockholm.

The nominees in the "Best Hard Rock" category were as follows:

* CANDLEMASS - Death Magic Doom
* HAMMERFALL - No Sacrifice, No Victory
* HARDCORE SUPERSTAR - Beg For It
* MUSTASCH - Mustasch
* RAISED FIST - Veil Of Ignorance

The artists were all nominated for their most recent releases, all of which came out during 2009.

Last year's Grammis award in the "Best Hard Rock" category was won by IN FLAMES for the band's "A Sense Of Purpose" CD.

MUSTASCH's "Mine" video can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's self-titled album, which was made available outside Scandianavia on January 8 via Nuclear Blast Records.

MUSTASCH was featured on the September 30, 2009 edition of the "Nyhetsmorgon" program on Sweden's TV4. The band performed two songs ("Mine" and "Damn It's Dark") and took part in an interview.

MUSTASCH's self-titled album was released on September 30, 2009 in Finland and Sweden and October 5, 2009 in Denmark and Norway via Regain Records. The follow-up to 2007's "Latest Version of the Truth" was recorded at Bohus Sound Studios in Sweden with producer Tobias Lindell.

MUSTASCH will support KISS on the following dates:

June 12 - Stockholm, SWE @ Stockholm Stadium
June 13 - Malmö, SWE @ Malmö Stadium

Drummer Mats "Dojan" Hansson left MUSTASCH last year "due to his chronic muscle ruptures." He has since been replaced by Danne McKenzie.

MUSTASCH released a "best-of" album, entitled "Lowlife Highlight", in February 2008 through Regain Records. The CD features 18 songs from the band's back catalogue originally issued by EMI.
