MUSHROOMHEAD To Premier New Song On Cleveland Radio

August 10, 2006

MUSHROOMHEAD will appear live on Cleveland's WMMS on Friday, August 11, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. EST to world-premiere the first song, "Simple Survival", from the forthcoming "Savior Sorrow" album. A 24-second audio sample of the track has been posted online at this location (Real Media).

"Savior Sorrow" will be released on September 19, 2006. It was produced by Steve "Skinny" Felton and MUSHROOMHEAD at Cleveland's Filthy Hands Studios in April 2006. MUSHROOMHEAD's previous release, "XIII", entered The Billboard 200 at No. 40 and went on to sell 400,000 copies worldwide.

"It's a new chapter in MUSHROOMHEAD's evolution. There are sounds on this album that sound so brutal and huge. The album is quite diverse, yet retains a MUSHROOMHEAD feel. Lyrically, it definitely reflects where the world is at this moment in time," says drummer Skinny.

The visionary masked band combines theatrics with a mixture of rock, metal and atmospheric elements. The first single will hit radio in mid-August. The band will begin a world tour starting September 20, 2006.
