MUSHROOMHEAD, CHIMAIRA, THE AUTUMN OFFERING Members Join Forces In TENAFLY VIPER

July 19, 2007

D.X. Ferris of the Cleveland Scene reports that MUSHROOMHEAD has spawned yet another side project, TENAFLY VIPER. The stoner-rock band features Steve "Skinny" Felton on drums and producing, MUSHROOMHEAD singer Waylon, CHIMAIRA bassist Jim LaMarca, and THE AUTUMN OFFERING guitarist Tommy Church.

Church, a Florida resident, grew up in the same North Carolina scene as Waylon. THE AUTUMN OFFERING, a Florida thrash crew signed to Victory Records, toured with MUSHROOMHEAD last fall.

"It's total whiskey-riff party music," Felton says of TENAFLY VIPER. "A little like DOWN, like LYNYRD SKYNYRD, with a little STONE TEMPLE PILOTS thrown in there."

VIPER has recorded 15 songs and submitted the album to Megaforce, MUSHROOMHEAD's label. But the band has yet to post tracks to its web site (www.barfightrock.com).
